Several transfer stations and landfills closed Nov. 11
All staffed transfer stations and landfill locations in the Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) will be closed on Saturday, Nov 11 for Remembrance Day.
The closures include the Cranbrook, Elkford, Fernie, Invermere, Kimberley and Sparwood transfer stations and the Columbia Valley and Central Subregion landfills.
In addition, there will be no hauling at the rural transfer station sites on Saturday.
RDEK offices in Cranbrook and the Columbia Valley will be closed on November 13.
