Sheep Creek fire being held
BC Wildfire Service today (July 25) reports the wildfire near Sheep Creek is being held.
The estimated 4.8 hectares fire is burning about half a kilometre west of Island Pond Road and about four km northwest of Premier Lake.
In the past few days provincial water bombers have been making regular runs on the fire. The bombers have been using nearby lakes such as Columbia Lake to recharge water tanks and the BC Wildfire Service asks boaters to give them plenty of room when they see them coming in.
