Snowfall forecast for entire region Saturday

Mainroad East Kootenay reports it has pretreated regional highways ahead of the forecasted snowfall that is anticipated for this upcoming weekend.

Columbia Valley: Snowfall is forecasted to begin on Saturday and continue through the day. Accommodation is expected to be up to three cm.

Cranbrook/Kimberley: Snowfall is forecasted to begin tomorrow afternoon with a snow/rain mix. Forecasted accumulation is up to 15 cm.

Elk Valley: Forecasted snowfall is expected to begin tomorrow morning and last all day. Accumulation amount is forecasted to be up to 15 cm for Saturday and begin to taper off on Sunday.

Yahk: Snowfall is anticipated to begin tomorrow morning with up to 10 cm forecasted. Snow fall is expected to continue all Saturday and begin to taper off early Sunday morning.
