Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting this morning warned that the heavy snowfall we received over night has changed to heavy rainfall in the service area.

“Side roads could be slippery. Our crews are out responding to roads in sequence and applying winter abrasive where needed,” Mainroad said.

“Our 24-hour communications and dispatch office will pass on all your observations and concerns to our crews when contacted.  As always, a reminder to drive to the conditions and check www.drivebc.ca for updates.”
