Wardner residents seek to meet over dog solutions
A group of Wardner residents would like to arrange an opportunity to discuss some ongoing concerns and challenges regarding our four legged friends.
The plan is to have a facilitated meeting in the Wardner Hall on June 19 at 7 p.m., the Wardner Community Association stated on social media April 16.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The premise of the meeting will be to come up with a solution for the following: âCan we come up with a workable plan that will allow citizens, children and other dogs to feel safe from being injured, frightened or intimidated by dogs in and around our community.â
âWe will also plan to have representatives from the Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) as well as the RCMP to answer questions and provide input where it may be appropriate,â the community association related.
âIt is our desire to arrange and facilitate the meeting in order to work towards positive and consensus based solutions.
âAs we get closer to the meeting date we will provide additional information on an agenda, invited attendees, principles of the meeting and draft targets and/or deliverables.â
