Elkford appoints new Youth Councillor
Each year, Elkford council appoints (up to) two Elkford Secondary School students to represent Elkford’s youth at the council table. These budding community leaders join council to provide perspective on youth-related issues, advocate for their peers and give the youth of the District of Elkford a voice at the municipal level.
This year, we are thrilled to introduce Shaelynn Bryant as your Senior Youth Councillor.
Passionate about community involvement, Shaelynn is a Grade 12 student who loves volunteering her time to organizations and events in Elkford. She’s excited to sit at the council table and looks forward to building her leadership skills and making a difference in our community. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!
The district is still looking for one more enthusiastic and self-motivated youth representative to attend meetings, events and provide a voice for the youth of our community as a Junior Youth Councillor.
