Elkford hosting outdoor Remembrance Day ceremony
On Thursday, November 11, you are invited to attend Elkford’s outdoor Remembrance Day ceremony, in honour of those who have fought for our freedom.
Alternatively, you may also pay your respects at home by observing two minutes of silence or tuning in to the Royal Canadian Legion’s live online ceremony.
This year, Elkford’s ceremony will be held entirely outdoors. All Provincial Health and Interior Health orders related to COVID restrictions that are in place on the date of the event will be adhered to.
This may include proof of vaccination, physical distancing, mandatory masks and/or a maximum capacity limit for attendance.
- DATE AND TIME: November 11, at 11 a.m.
- LOCATION: Outdoors, at the Cenotaph (pictured above) located between the Elkford Community Conference Centre (750 Fording Drive) and the District Office (744 Fording Drive).
For more information about the ceremony, or to donate to the Poppy and Wreath Campaign, contact 250-865-4010 or [email protected].
In partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion, the District of Elkford will once again facilitate the Poppy and Wreath Campaign in 2021.
All funds collected in this campaign are forwarded directly to the Royal Canadian Legion.
