The City of Fernie reports the Aquatic Centre will be re-opening tomorrow (Nov. 5), after being closed since Saturday (Oct. 29) due to vandalism.

“City staff have completed a thorough cleaning of the pool and refilled it, and while it’s still a little colder than usual we expect that by tomorrow morning it will be back up to the normal temperature,” the city stated on social media.

“We thank everyone for your patience while we were dealing with the damage, rescheduling programming, and getting everything ready for the safe re-opening of the facility.”
