The church bell in Fernie will ring every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak as part of the bells of appreciation initiative.

Health care workers, first responders, grocery store staff, delivery truck drivers, and other essential workers are thanked for their efforts and sacrifices.

During this challenging time, the gentle evening sounds will assure families and citizens to be kind to each other and for everyone to prioritize their health, safety and well-being.
