Candidates showcase held in Fernie
On Wednesday, October 9, the Fernie Chamber of Commerce hosted a Provincial Election All-Candidates Forum at the Park Place Lodge.
All four Kootenay-Rockies candidates were in attendance: Sam Atwal (BC NDP), Pete Davis (Conservative Party of BC), Tom Shypitka (Independent) and Kerri Wall (BC Green Party).
The event attracted a crowd of approximately 90 people, offering a valuable opportunity for our community to connect with the candidates, hear their views on key issues, and ask questions that will influence the future of our local economy.
The candidates addressed questions submitted through a chamber survey, as well as additional questions gathered during the forum.
Advanced voting has started, with the final voting day on Saturday, October 19. For more information on voting, visit Elections BC.
