The City of Fernie is excited to announce the Climate Friendly Homes Tour, a unique opportunity for individuals and families to explore climate friendly and energy efficient homes. This event aims to inspire and empower people to make environmentally conscious choices in their own lives.

A new province-wide initiative by the Community Energy Association and hosted in Fernie by the City of Fernie, the Climate Friendly Homes Tour will take place on October 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants will have the chance to visit a carefully curated selection of homes that showcase climate friendly features, smart technologies, and energy efficient design elements. The tour will provide invaluable insights into the possibilities of climate friendly living and will include homes ranging from renovated properties to newly constructed residences, all designed to minimize the environmental impact related to running the home.

Attendees will learn about the integration of heat pumps, high efficiency building envelopes and renewable energy sources, such as solar panels.

The Climate Friendly Homes Tour is an opportunity to see climate friendly buildings and a chance to engage with experts and homeowners who have successfully implemented sustainable living practices.

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the positive impact changes to the home can have on the environment, as well as their own well-being.
