Kootenay East MLA Bill Bennett, City of Fernie Mayor Mary Giuliano and Mike Delich, centre, from Columbia Basin Trust – all partners in the Fairy Creek Bridge project, celebrate the grand opening of the bridge Sept. 16. The bridge will enhance Fernie’s already world-class tourism package, as well as provide much greater security for pedestrians and bikers. The pedestrian bridge project was spearheaded by the Fernie Trails Alliance.
