Fernie Fox supports Youth Soccer Association
The Fernie Fox Hotel is proud to announce its recent community grant donation to Fernie Youth Soccer Association (FYSA).
The donation has enabled the purchase of new jerseys for the Fernie United U11 & U14 Girls Teams, marking a significant investment in local youth sports.
The team will proudly debut their new uniforms at the upcoming tournament in Fruitvale, from September 13-15.
This grant is part of the hotel’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Fernie community, encouraging active lifestyles and helping local youth thrive both on and off the field. The vibrant new jerseys represent more than just team spirit—they symbolize the value of teamwork, dedication, and local pride.
The U11 Girls Team is thrilled to wear their new jerseys as they compete in their first out-of-town tournament of the season. This competition, held in Fruitvale, is an exciting opportunity for these young athletes to showcase their skills, teamwork, and passion for soccer on a larger stage.
“The Fernie Fox Hotel is honoured to be part of this moment, empowering young athletes in our community,” said hotel owner Jeremiah Pauw.
“Our goal is to create a sustainable and welcoming female soccer program, where young girls feel they are part of something bigger,” said Nadine Baker, operations manager for FYSA.
“By encouraging female-identifying players to get involved at an early age, we hope to foster a supportive environment where they can grow, lift each other up, and, most importantly, have fun. We believe that empowering these athletes now will inspire them to give back and help future generations of young women thrive in sport.”
Fernie Youth Soccer is grateful for the hotel’s contribution, which not only helps provide the team with quality uniforms but also strengthens the program’s ability to foster growth and sportsmanship in young athletes.
