Thanks to everyone who attended the 2025 Fernie on Fire community bonfire (Jan. 4).

This year’s event was another raging success – raising $3,300 for the Fernie Freestyle Club and removing dry Christmas trees (a post-holiday hazard) from hundreds of homes.

A big thank you to sponsors –Save-On-Foods Fernie, Himalayan Spice Bistro Fernie, The Kodiak , The Curry Bowl Fernie B.C. for donating the food and beverages.

And a shout out to Fernie Fire and Emergency Services for volunteering over 150 hours of their time to collect trees, start the fire (very quickly and effectively) keep it going all evening and run a great event!
