Ghostriders have Nitehawks on the ropes
Fernie Ghostriders’ fans were denied the opportunity to cheer their team onto the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) Teck Cup finals last night but hold a commanding 3-1 lead heading into game five Friday, March 29 in Fruitvale.
The Beaver Valley Nitehawks clawed out a 3-2 overtime win before 825 fans at the Fernie Memorial Arena March 27, to send the series back to the Central Kootenay.
Should a game six of the Kootenay Conference finals be necessary, it will be back in Fernie on Saturday, March 30 at 7 p.m.
And game seven would be Monday, April 1 in Beaver Valley.
In the Okanagan-Shuswap Conference Finals, the Revelstoke Grizzlies hold a 3-1 lead over the Princeton Posse.
