Groups and individuals invited to apply for grants
Sustainability is more than just reducing your ecological footprint, its also about building up your local community.
The Fernie Fox Hotel, is seeking applications for its bi-annual grant opportunity. This initiative reflects the Fernie Fox Hotelās ongoing dedication to social responsibility.
The grants are issued in the spring and fall and are for up to $5000. Eligible candidates for this funding include non-profits, community groups, and individuals who are actively involved in projects that work towards the betterment of the community.
Past recipients have included the Fernie Boxing Club, East Kootenay Foundation for Health, Fernie Seniors Center, and Presley Lewis. The Fernie Fox Hotel has provided over $85,000 in direct community support through these grants and its sponsorships in the last four years.
āWe live and work in Fernie, and as such, our business is intimately intertwined with this community. By helping build a stronger, better community for all, we enrich the lives of our staff, and our neighbours.ā says Jeremiah Pauw, co-owner of the Fernie Fox Hotel.
