Historical society celebrating 60th anniversary Feb. 22

In honour of our 60th Anniversary, the Fernie and District Historical Society presents Blood in the Snow: A Western Murder Mystery and Spaghetti Dinner, this February 22 at the Elks Hall.

It’s 1898, and the collection of shacks on the banks of Coal Creek heaves with railwaymen, coal miners, con artists, tinhorn gamblers, whiskey sellers and carpetbaggers. A February blizzard smothers the valley, stranding a collection of ne’er- do-wells in Big Tony’s Saloon and Italian Ristorante.

But what’s this? Gunshots in the night? Strangers on the road? A lawman found dead in the outhouse behind the saloon? Everyone’s a suspect, and only you can help us find the killer!

Test your wits and your appetite at the Elks Hall this February 22!

Doors open at 5 p.m.; Dinner at 6, Murder at 7:30, Live Music with Lord Knows at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets $90; $80 for FDHS members. On sale now at the Fernie Museum and online.
