Fernie Search and Rescue (SAR) was tasked last night at 11:30 p.m. for a missing Alzheimer patient who went for a walk from West Fernie. After being gone longer than normal the family contacted RCMP.

At 1 a.m. the subject of the search walked across a field at the end of Dicken Road and was thankfully seen by a resident.

Huge thanks to the two members of the public who had the awareness that something wasn’t right and were able to get her to come with them to a safe place.
