City of Fernie residents can expect delivery of new waste and recycling carts to their homes beginning May 14 in preparation for the new automated curbside waste and recycling collection service.

Carts will be delivered to all homes currently receiving residential curbside collection along with an information package about the new service. Delivery of the carts will be over a period of about two weeks.

The automated collection service will start the week of June 4, 2018.  Please do not use the carts before the new service starts.

Residents are reminded to continue using their existing waste cans and recycling bags until the first week of June.
