The City of Fernie would like to remind residents that winter parking regulations will be in effect beginning November 1 to help facilitate effective snow removal.

Unless otherwise posted, from 4 a.m. – 4 p.m. the alternating parking schedule for on-street parking is in effect:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday: park on the North or West side of the road.
• Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: park on the South and East side of the road.

These restrictions allow city plows to clear the snow back to the boulevards on alternating days.

Any vehicle parked contrary to the regulation or posted signage is subject to ticketing or towing and vehicle impoundment.
