Five members of the South Country Rural Firefighters and Fire Chief Dave Boreen assisted RCMP, Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and Ministry of Environment with a 4 a.m. commercial vehicle incident on Highway 3/93 near Betania Road.

The highway is closed and according to Drive BC is not expected to open until 5 p.m. However, a detour is available via Jaffray Baynes Lake Road and Kikomun Road so traffic is still moving.
