The following is a synopsis of what occurred during the Nov. 1 District of Sparwood council meeting.
BUSINESS
Inauguration of new council
The new Mayor and Councillors were sworn into office by the district’s Corporate Officer, Ms. Megan Rawles, and RCMP Sergeant Gregory.
Mayor David Wilks is joined on council by councillors Sam Atwal, John Baher, Amy Cardozo, Jason Christensen, Steve Kallies and Chris Nand. The Acting Mayor schedule and committee appointments were confirmed, as well the signing authority was updated to include new incoming council members.

Youth Advisory Commission Special Meeting – Wednesday, November 23 at Sparwood Secondary School (101 Pine Spur Dr) at 11:30 a.m.
