Truck stolen from Sparwood recovered in Alberta

The truck stolen from Sparwood this morning has been recovered in Redcliff, Alberta by the local RCMP members. No further details are known at this time.

On November 21 at 5:03 p.m., Elk Valley Regional RCMP was advised of a stolen Ford truck taken from the Save-On parking area at the Greenwood Mall on Red Cedar Avenue in Sparwood.

The complainant reports last seeing the black 2007 Ford F350 with a B.C. licence plate, CC2218 at approximately 1:15 p.m., but when he returned to go home the vehicle was gone.

There were no signs of broken glass or damage at the scene. A video scan and search for witnesses in the local area produced no evidence supporting the investigation.

There was a series of items that were left in the vehicle of some value – including a backpack, binoculars and other hunting gear. A possible sighting of the vehicle at 3:30 p.m. occurred along Highway 3 with the vehicle headed toward Alberta. Please see the attached photo of the vehicle for identification.

The stolen truck was later seen in Medicine, Hat Alberta at 2:15 a.m. by Medicine Hat Police Service and a vehicle stop was attempted. However, the vehicle fled from the attempted vehicle stop. The driver was not able to be identified.
