As part of Teck’s ongoing commitment to safety, public access to all Teck’s private land holdings in the Elk Valley area is closed effective immediately.

This step is being taken to help prevent human-caused wildfires, to protect public safety and is aligned with the provincial government’s announcement to restrict public access on Crown land in the area. It is expected that the closure will be in place until the fire hazard ratings are reduced in the region.

Teck thanks the public for their cooperation and will provide further updates as required.
