Thank you to the Fernie Lions Club who passed along a cheque for $1,500 to the Sparwood Lions Club.

These funds were in appreciation for the volunteers who helped out at the Fernie Lions Demolition Derby this year.

The Fernie club held a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, Oct. 23, and handed out almost $15,000 in total to the dozen local groups that helped make the derby a successful fundraiser.
