City closes trail network
The City of Kimberley has closed its Crown land areas and trail network.
To ensure public safety, as of 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, the City of Kimberley will be banning the access and use of Crown lands and trail network within City of Kimberley boundaries; including but not limited to the Kimberley Nature Park, Kimberley Nordic Area, and Lois Creek Trail Area.
This is due to the extreme fire danger rating and the number of unprecedented aggressive wildfires throughout the region.
At this time this prohibition does not apply to: Paved trail surfaces within the City of Kimberley boundaries; Mark Creek Trail.
