Diesel spill closes Kimberley Health Centre
Residents are advised that the Kimberley Health Centre will be temporarily closed on Monday, June 5, due to a diesel fuel spill at the facility.
A weekend power outage prompted a generator to come on. Unfortunately, some diesel fuel leaked from the generator, which will require clean-up before the health centre can reopen. The health centre offers home health, public health and mental health services, as well as private physician offices.
Interior Health regrets this interruption to our normal services. Patients with appointments will be rescheduled, but residents should also take note of the following if they require care during the closure:
- In the event of an emergency, call 9-1-1.
- Visit the East Kootenay Regional Hospital Emergency Department – 13-24th Ave. North, Cranbrook
- Call HealthLinkBC at 8-1-1 (24 hour service), if you are unsure about your health-care needs.
Interior Health regrets this interruption to service.
