First Saturdays brings Kimberley’s Platzl alive
Kimberley’s Platzl has been experiencing a bit of a renaissance the last few years – so it is a fitting location for the First Saturdays celebration of arts, culture and heritage.
The entire Platzl was utilized by the festival, held on the first Saturday of every month between July and October. The festival has been running since 2013.
Between 12-4 p.m. in the Platzl last Saturday, August 4, there was a wealth of arts, crafts and other kiosks and vendors along with demonstrations, all soundtracked with live music and art and more.
Cod Gone Wild performed outside Centre 64 for a lively and fun conclusion to the day’s festivities.
The next First Saturdays is September 1.
