Free skiing for locals Jan. 7
Kimberley Alpine Resort is saying thanks to community members and those in surrounding communities by offering a free day of skiing and riding on Sunday, Jan. 7.
Locals can ski for free and get burgers for $2, with those funds being contributed to supporting Dreadnaught Ski Racing.
Photo identification and proof of local residency (driver’s license, pay stub etc.) are required to receive the lift ticket. Complimentary tickets can be picked up at guest services and are available to residents of Canal Flats, Skookumchuck, Meadowbrook, TaTa Creek, Kimberley, Marysville, Wasa, Wycliffe, Moyie, Wardner and Cranbrook.
Residents can go to Guest Services and receive a voucher for their burger.
TELUS Winter Sports School invites beginner skiers or snowboarders to a complimentary lesson. There will be a total of 10 ski and 10 snowboard spots available, with a one-hour lesson starting at 10:30 a.m. Space is limited and guests must pre-register at the Winter Sports School Cabin. Lessons will include a voucher for FREE equipment rentals at the Rental Shop.
Please note that these lessons are for new skiers and snowboarders only ages six and up.
