Kimberley announces official results of by-election
The City of Kimberley is announcing the official results of the By-election held on September 21. Maryse Leroux, Chief Election Officer, has officially declared the elected candidate.
“I, Maryse Leroux, Chief Election Officer, do hereby declare elected, Diana Fox, who received the highest number of valid votes for the office of Councillor,” stated Leroux.
The official declarations can be found on the City website at www.Kimberley.ca/By-Election2024.
A total of 1,489 voters participated in the by-election, which included two advanced voting days on September 11 and 18 and general voting on September 21.
The city thanks all residents who took the time to cast their ballots and participate in this democratic process.
Diana Fox will be officially sworn in during the October 15 city council meeting.
