Kimberley hosting Para Alpine Skiing World Cup
Kimberley Alpine Resort (KAR) will be the host resort for the 2018 Para Alpine Skiing World Cup; the last chance for the athletes to qualify for the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, Republic of Korea.
Come to Kimberley Alpine Resort in February and cheer on Team Canada!
As skiing is a great spectator sport, bring the kids for a field trip to the resort – they’ll be awed and inspired by the para athlete’s strength and determination, there’s a variety of training runs and races to watch over four days. For more information visit KAR’s events page.
Kimberley Alpine Resort is the second Resorts of the Canadian Rockies resort to host a World Cup this season with the Nakiska Ski Cross World Cup on Saturday, January 20.
Kimberley Alpine Resort is home to the only Paralympic Training Centre in Canada where athletes can train in downhill skiing, hockey, Nordic skiing and wheelchair curling.
The Para Alpine Skiing World Cup at Kimberley Alpine Resort will run from February 8 – 11. Want to watch live, but can’t make it out? The event will be streaming live online.
