Kimberley preparing to celebrate 50th JulyFest

Volunteers needed

Kimberley is preparing to host its 50th annual JulyFest July 14-16.

The Canadian Bocce Championships, Homecoming Parade (pictured), soccer tourneys, longboarding, a Taste of Kimberley and musical entertainment await residents and visitors.

Festival organizers are currently in search of volunteer talent to help stage Kimberley’s biggest party of the year.

There are lots of opportunities for you to get involved, whether you have fours hours to give or 40. Positions we are looking to fill include: Parade traffic control; Set up and take down – Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday (only if needed); Admissions; Bar service; Bocce refereeing; Grounds keeping and recycling.

Non-Profit groups that are looking to earn some money, please get in touch with organizers. They have a budget to offer registered non-profits an hourly wage for their service hours!

Register today.

The Canadian Bocce Championships will be taking place over the weekend at Centennial Park.

The 50th Annual July Fest Homecoming Parade kicks off the morning of Saturday, July 15.

The parade will be collectively celebrating local businesses, community groups, and of course some graduating classes from the last 50 years.

The Kimberley Chamber of Commerce is proud to be part of the 50th celebration with creative, colourful and entertaining entries from both local and surrounding communities. Register your float now.
