Locally raised artist releasing debut visual album

An indie singer-songwriter currently based out of Vancouver, originally from Kimberley, is poised to release her debut visual album ‘The Woods’ on April 19.

“The project involved over 30 creatives from around B.C. (including some from Kimberley, and a music video that was shot at McGinty Lake) coming together to bring to life eight songs and six music videos,” explained Clara Cloud (nee: MacLeod).

“The music videos also come together to form a short film, depicting a queer re-telling of the Greek mythology story of Artemis, Apollo, and Orion.

“This project has been in the works for nearly two years and created with collaboration at its core, and the intention of connecting creatives and spotlighting emerging artistic talent (primarily LGBTQIA+) in B.C.,” Cloud said.

A third video is releasing in the coming weeks ahead of the full album drop as well, on streaming platforms.
