Goats and Reggae Fest to round out JulyFest
JulyFest’s big music show at the Kimberley Civic Centre July 16 will be a groovy Reggae Fest, with Taj Weekes and Adowa headlining the show.
Taj (pictured above) is a dreadlocked Rastafarian musician, bred in the Caribbean but shaped by intercontinental life experience. He just finished his 2015 tour promoting his fifth album, ‘Love Herb and Reggae.’
Canadian composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and five-time Juno Award winner/nominee Dubmatix, first burst onto the music scene and into the heads of reggae and base music fans around the world with his debut release Champion Sound Clash in 2004.
The Toronto-born Dubmatix, who is celebrating his 10th anniversary this year, is now firmly established as one of the top reggae producers in the world, with no less than five chart-topping releases in a row.
And because they have been great supporters of Julyfest, and they are releasing their new CD, festival organizers are proud to welcome back The Good ‘Ol Goats (pictured below). They will get everyone moving right off the first note and keep them that way until Dubmatix and Taj Weekes take over.
