The Art of Healing and Transformation

You’re warmly invited to an inspiring celebration of Creston-based ceramic artist Andrea Revoy and the healing power of creativity.

In her small but mighty exhibit, ‘Look Now What I’ve Become,’ Andrea shares her personal story of healing and transformation through creativity. This exhibit is a reflection of the resilience of our spirits and the power of art as a tool for recovery and self-discovery.

This exhibit at Art Gallery Kimberley welcomes visitors from October 3 through 13 on Monday – Wednesday by appointment and on Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Andrea specializes in quirky, humorous sculptures full of detail and unique textures. “I have always loved reading stories, especially stories with beautiful illustrations. Through my sculptures, I strive to evoke the feeling that there is a story it is trying to tell—whether real or imagined,” Andrea says.

Andrea’s body of work, which started as a way to cope with the trauma of spousal abuse, evolved into an expression of joy, strength, and authenticity. Andrea explains, “This body of work represents a time of my life that was undoubtedly the hardest to come to terms with, migrate through, and then embrace fully.

“Using my own form of ‘art therapy’ was the catalyst that forced me to work through my traumas and bring parts of my life to the forefront that I never wanted to admit were even happening, let alone share with the world. In doing so, I have experienced a transformation in my life unlike anything I could ever have imagined for myself. Through this art-filled, healing journey, I feel I am finally the person I was always meant to be. I truly hope my work will be the inspiration for others to find the courage to do the same.”

Andrea’s incredible clay sculptures are more than just art; they are an expression of her path from pain to peace, and from survival to an authentic life.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon on Sunday, October 13 between 3 and 5 p.m. where Andrea will share how her creative process became a form of art therapy, allowing her to channel her emotions and experiences into something beautiful and empowering. This is not a story of suffering but one of healing, hope, and the incredible power of creativity to shape our lives.

Come, take in this uplifting exhibit, and see the artworks that have not only transformed Andrea’s life but also serve as a beacon of hope for others in their own experience of healing.
