ʔaq̓am appoints interim CAO
ʔaq̓am Council and Administration wishes to welcome Dr. Sae-Hoon Stan Chung, as ʔaq̓am interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
In the last decade, Stan has served councils at ʔaq̓am, ʔakisq̓nuk, Yaqan Nukiy, Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi ‘it, Ktunaxa Kinbasket Child & Family, ʔaq̓am Community Enterprises, and as Senior Advisor to three KNC CAOs.
Stan is formerly VP Academic and Research at College of the Rockies and Red River College in Manitoba. He possesses a wealth of knowledge in decolonizing organizations walking with many Indigenous leaders and organizations.
He has written and spoken extensively on self-determination and Reconciliation and currently serves as Chair of the BC Arts Council, Chief Equity Advisor CEWIL Canada, and is a board member of the Royal BC Museum.
Dr Chung began his duties on June 17. He will serve for up to six months or until an ongoing CAO is named.
