Two elected to band council
The Tobacco Plains Indian Band (?akinkum+asnuq+?it) last week elected two new band councillors.
On July 31, 63 residents cast ballots for Corey Letcher, Garrett Gravelle and Jaime Vienneau, running for two council seats.
Letcher received the most votes with 42, ahead of Gravelle with 40, while Vinneau earned 25 votes.
