Community celebrates Annual General Assembly
The ?akisqnuk First Nation Annual General Assembly was August 23 and 24 at the Columbia Lake Recreation Centre.
The community celebrates two days of information sharing, discussions, information packets, door prizes, food, swag bags and much more.
One of the main features of the event was in celebration of the 25-year legal battle against Jumbo Glacier Resort, which has sought to develop the Jumbo watershed; the area known to the Ktunaxa Nation as Qat’muk, the area of the Grizzly Bear Spirit.
