The RCMP’s Southeast District Emergency Response Team and Containment Team have conducted a successful operation today at ?aqam, leading to the arrest of two individuals in connection with a violent assault that occurred on August 4.

Jeremy Raymond Osborne and Chantelle Josephine Van Woudenberg were taken into custody without incident during the mid-morning hours. The operation was carefully planned and executed to ensure the safety of the public, officers, and the suspects.

Crown Counsel has approved Charges of Aggravated Assault and Assault with a weapon for both Osborne and Van Woudenberg. Osborne is also facing Charges of Utter Threats and Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance.

“The police wish to thank the community for their cooperation and support during this operation. No further details are available at this time, but we will continue to provide updates as the investigation progresses,” said S/Sgt. Barry Graham, Cranbrook RCMP Detachment commander.
