Councillor election upcoming for ʔakisq̓nuk community
The ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation has called an Election in accordance with the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation Custom Election Regulations (2024), for the purpose of electing two councillors on April 30, for the ensuing term.
Four community members are vying for two council positions: Janice Alpine, Faro Burgoyne, Anna Louise Hudson and Lillian Ann Rose.
The election will take place April 30 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be an advance poll on April 23 from 12 to 6 p.m.
There will be an All Candidates Forum on April 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Administration Building and through Zoom.
