Local businesses honoured at 26th annual awards gala
The 26th annual Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards culminated with a gala event Saturday (April 1) at St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino.
A total of 70 nominees were up for awards in 12 categories.
“The nominees were interviewed as part of the judging process leading up to the award recipients being selected,” said chamber executive director David D. Hull. “Without exception, every judging panel said their decision was very difficult. That speaks volumes for the excellence within our business community.”
It was a packed house at St. Eugene’s beautiful Pavilion, with Cranbrook and area business leaders and up-and-comers mingling around a buffet dinner.
Local musical talent Jamie Neve performed between award presentations, while The Drive’s Matt Van Boeyen and Mariah McDonnell emceed the evening.
