Kinsmen luring participants for annual Fishing Derby this weekend
This Saturday (June 26) is the 13th annual Kinsmen Club of Windermere Valley Fishing Derby.
A first prize of $500 awaits the angler who pulls the biggest catch from beneath the ice of Lake Windermere. A $300 and $200 prize awaits second and third place and lots of other prizes will be available.
The $35 entry fee goes to help the Kinsmen Club support community organizations and projects
Registration begins at 8 a.m. at The Station Neighbourhood Pub and the derby begins at 9 a.m., running until 3 p. m.
