50 shops and households to make up Fernie Spring Clean
By Rachel Cline
The Fernie Spring Clean will have up to 50 households and retail shops having garage sales, sidewalk sales and special offers all on Saturday, May 24.
This is a fundraising event for the East Kootenay Brain Injuries Association. To be part of the event people pay $20 for which they receive loads of advertising, marketing and most importantly a star on a map that will be printed in The Free Press the week before the event, so that people can plan their garage sale route around Fernie.
The sale hosts get to keep all their profit for themselves or give to a charity of their choice.
There will also be a scavenger hunt for children with great prizes for the first 100 entries.
Homes and businesses need to sign up by May 9 to get listed on the map and Facebook pages, and they can do this on line here http://ferniespringclean.blogspot.ca/p/application-form.html .
