June in the East Kootenay ‘13

June is the whirlwind month of the year when it comes photography work.

There is a perfect storm of major community events (Canal Days, Marysville Daze, Radium Days, Coal Miner Days and Sam Steele Days all before June 19), lovelier weather inspiring more shooting and Mother Nature’s whims.

As a result, we got out and about more than usual – capturing our beautiful region from stem to stern.

June 2013 is going to be remembered as a time when the region experienced its second year in a row with overflowing rivers, creeks and lakes as torrential rains mixed with freshet to cause all variety of problems for folks in Elkford, Hosmer, Kimberley, Wasa and Dutch Creek/Fairmont.
