The District of Elkford is going to be a busy place this weekend (Feb. 14-15) as the sixth annual Winter in the Wild festival kicks off.

“It might be cold, it might be snowing, but here in Elkford we know how to have a howling good time despite the weather. So put on your parka, grab your hat and mitts and join us for a fun-filled family weekend!” states the district’s website.

A torchlight parade leads off the fun this evening (Friday, Feb. 14) at 6:15 p.m., with fireworks, a pancake breakfast to start Saturday, craft fair, snow ball games, turkey toss and more.
