Cranbrook Connected’s work is must-see material
All City of Cranbrook and area residents who care about their community and its future should take some time to visit cranbrookconnected.ca/ to get a sharp picture about where this vibrant city of 19,000 is heading.
Cranbrook Connected is Chris Ayling, Dave Butler, Laurie Cordell, Dave Hall, Linda Holmes, Gord Johnston and Mike Pearson and they have produced a clean, easy-to-read report that lays out a sustainability vision, gathered from countless volunteer hours listening to community stakeholders and hosting numerous open houses.
Such a task is a monumental undertaking with complexities unknown heading into it, as finding common ground on the future is never an easy thing.
But the above named folks made it happen and they deserve our great thanks for their great work.
More regional communities need to undertake this arduous but ultimately rewarding exercise.
Collectively looking into the future allows for wiser municipal management and provides a template for all key organizations to reference and work from.
To each of the committee members and to the city for launching the exercise — a big, cheery thank you on behalf of all Cranbrook and East Kootenay residents.
