Shovar returned as chief
Lorne Shovar is returning as chief of the ?Akisq’nuk First Nation following a May 20 election.
Shovar earned 47 votes to re-claim his position as chief of the band.
With 45, 43 and 40 votes respectively, Allan Nicholas, Rosemary Phillips and Don Sam will serve as band councilors.
