Kootenay Christian Academy (1200 Kootenay Street N) invites you to celebrate the holiday season at their third annual Christmas Market on Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14.

This beloved event combines festive fun with meaningful fundraising for the school and its surrounding community.

Friday: Shop ‘Til You Drop

From 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 13, immerse yourself in the holiday spirit with a Shop ‘Til You Drop Market. With a packed house of vendors offering unique gifts—from arts and crafts to zesty spices and everything in between—this is the perfect place to find something special for everyone on your list.

Enjoy the festive atmosphere with:

• Gift-wrapping services.
• A silent auction.
• Delicious treats from the Christmas Café.
• Festive music to keep you in the Christmas spirit!

Saturday: Exclusive Kids Shopping Event

On Saturday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., it’s time for the Exclusive Kids Shopping Event. This magical experience is designed for children to participate in the joy of giving. With the help of their very own secret-shopper elf—our enthusiastic Grade 9 students—kids can select thoughtful gifts for family members, teachers, or friends.

• All items are priced under $20.
• Gifts are wrapped before leaving.
• Parents can relax in the Christmas Café while enjoying treats or letting us handle their gift-wrapping needs.

A Market with a Mission

All proceeds from the Christmas Market will benefit Kootenay Christian Academy’s fundraising efforts, supporting projects such as:

• Playground Renewal: Funds raised will help replace the school’s aging playground structure with a state-of-the-art design, benefiting the 150 families at KCA and the greater community north of Kootenay Street. Plans also include recreation options for neighbouring adult and senior communities.
• Missional Work: In partnership with Yugo Ministries, 26 Grade 9 students will travel to Mexico to build a home for a family in need. Funds raised will also provide essential items like beds, kitchen supplies, and an outhouse for the family.

This year’s Christmas Market reflects Kootenay Christian Academy’s mission to provide resources and opportunities that foster academic, moral, and spiritual growth, while also making a difference in local and global communities.
